How do I calculate a tip?
Multiply the bill by the tip percentage. An 18% tip on $60 is $60 × 0.18 = $10.80.
Should I tip on the amount before or after tax?
Many people tip on the pre-tax amount. If you enter the tax included in the bill, the calculator figures the tip on the amount before tax.
How do I split the bill evenly?
Add the tip to the bill and divide by the number of people. Turn on rounding to get a whole-dollar amount per person.
